It’s no secret that Barcelona is an incredible place to eat. The city’s restaurants allow you to rise to the position among the places with the best gastronomy in the world and tourists are increasingly finding it one of the best places to travel.
So it’s no surprise that Trip Advisor, one of the major travel review and advice platforms, ranked Barcelona as one of the main gastronomic destinations in the world.
In them Travelers Choice Awards, Barcelona ranked sixth in the list of best culinary destinations, Rome (Italy), Crete (Greece) and Hanoi (Vietnam) lead the list. Florence and Paris are ahead of Barcelona, in 4th and 5th place.
While making it clear that the opinions were probably not issued by Barcelona people, the guide invites you to Barcelona to “taste the sangria on the terrace of a cafeteria on Las Ramblas while you watch vibrant street performers and create your own bar-to-bar mobile tapas banquet.”
The The Travelers Choice Awards, which are created with users of the platform, have six more categoriess: trendy destinations, popular destinations, nature destinations, skiing and cultural destinations. Other categories: beaches, hotels, restaurants, places of interest and destinations.
